My "social network" of fellow pedes in this area is VERY small, and I'd like to correct that (I know there's a lot of us, even though it's Austin). I can't go to DC on the 6th (wife having surgery), but I'm glad to help however I can. I'm certain we will have other events after the 6th that we will need to support as well.

Every Saturday there is a rally at 11th and congress. Surprised you are looking for fellow pedes in Austin. They are, literally, st
anding on the sidewalk with bullhorns asking you to join them in the flag waving. Every. Saturday. Begging for help.
I'm ashamed to admit I didn't know this! I will be there on Saturday!
It was low single digit thousands of people the first Saturday, and has dwindled to as little as 100-200 on rainy days. The day after Christmas is a crapshoot on attendance, some people have been there 7 weeks in a row.
I don't want to brag. But, a lot of people have been driving by and telling us that we are number one.
