So I saw a twitter quote attributed to Senator Blunt along with Turtle McConnell suggesting to the GOP caucus that there would be consequences for any member that stood up to challenge the election from the Senate floor. So I wrote to ask if the quote was true. Additionally I talked of fraud and of my deep concern that the election was stolen and in my view (and that of many many of my fellow Missourians) the republic's future was questionable if these things are properly addressed.
Here is his response:
Thank you for taking time to share your thoughts on the presidential election results.
On December 14, 2020, the Electoral College voted and Vice President Joseph Biden received 306 electoral votes, surpassing the 270 vote threshold. President Trump still continues to have the right to avail himself of every legal option available to his campaign; however, the Electoral College has fulfilled its constitutional role in determining the president and vice president-elect. As Chairman of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, I will work with President-elect Biden and his Presidential Inaugural Committee to plan for the swearing-in ceremony on January 20, 2021.
Again, thank you for contacting me. I look forward to continuing our conversation on Facebook (www.facebook.com/SenatorBlunt) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/RoyBlunt) about the important issues facing Missouri and the country. I also encourage you to visit my website (blunt.senate.gov) to learn more about where I stand on the issues and sign-up for my e-newsletter.
Sincere regards,
306 Electoral Votes. No question as to their veracity. No discussion as to the merits of Trump's claim. Moving on here. Nothing to see.
Weasel.
It's pretty sad that he either doesn't think or doesn't realize that he'll be the next one to be destroyed in this exact way. They're not going to suddenly stop if this fraud is successful, and they aren't going to suddenly promote peace with anyone that isn't part of the radical left.
