To be 100% honest. I'm not even sure if making them for people would be illegal. It all depends on the intended use. It ALL comes down to INTENT.
There was actually a guy in WV making "key hangers". They were these, but he sold them as a hanger you mount on your wall and you hang shit on. He went on for a while until people started leaving reviews that were pretty clear about what people were using them for. Then he got busted, AND the feds got his sales records.
Bro they were selling suppressors fucking openly on google and calling them oil filters or some shit. Even had pictures of it in an engine bay with some hose sticking out of it.
If any of you saw ads for the “filters” that looked very odd, and very much like a suppressor, they were.
