Dr. Anthony Fauci reportedly said in a phone interview that he has been deliberately changing his public statements regarding the COVID-19 pandemic because he didn’t think people were ready to hear his true beliefs, according to the New York Times.

Fauci has been slowly increasing the number of Americans he says need to be vaccinated for the U.S. to reach “herd immunity” in public statements, the New York Times reported Thursday morning. He reportedly told the Times he has done so “partly based on new science, and partly on his gut feeling that the country is finally ready to hear what he really thinks.”

Listen to science, listen to science they keep saying. Well scientists aren't science, they are people and this one is a lying fucking asshole.

Twitter, Youtube other platforms would ban you if you "don't listen to the science", but what they allowed a year ago, 9 months ago, 6 months ago, now all conflict with eachother.

They used to say covid had a 5-10% fatality rate, for example.

I knew that was B.S. the moment I heard it. I virus with that kind of death rate can't propagate quickly, because it'll kill its host before infecting others. Moronic, what people will believe.

It could if it were engineered to be lethal as all hell but only after a lengthy asymptomatic but infectious period. But certainly wouldn't evolve naturally that way.

I knew the early reporting of a >10% fatality rate was bunk because if that were true they wouldn't have told us; a virus that spreads as easily as a cold with a double digit fatality rate would be a civilization ending event no matter what measures world governments take (If needless lockdowns put a hurt on the economy think about what would happen if nearly everyone stopped going in to work for fear of a plague that actually was piling up bodies in the streets); the media would have been ordered to downplay the seriousness of it to delay mass panic as long as possible.

Its also about the culture today. Look at polio. That shit was paralyzing children and putting healthy people in iron lung machines. We are so fragile today we never would have made it through a disease like polio, yet that generation barely talks about it.

The media sells chaos, panic, and fear through lies.

Captain_Deadpool 4 points ago +4 / -0

That's actually what made me think, at first, it might be serious. The very early days of the reporting were all downplaying it, and telling people that anyone takingbit seriously was a racist crazy person.

Science also says there are two genders, but hey. Here we are.

I redpilled some people finally by predicting (by saying, "I guarantee you") in April, that covid would end up having a fatality rate about equal to the flu, if not less. They did the same shit with H1N1, in went from 5%, to 2%, to 1%, than far lower, it was pretty obvious the same would happen with covid.

I remember back in March seeing these no name “scientists” with these viral tweets saying that by July of 2020 there would be like 3 billion infected people in the world and tens of millions dead. Totally lol worthy stuff then

We should have saved screen shots of those folks and make a giant collage!

And it was clear from the iItalian numbers that the 10% number was bullshit. The had a numerator of dead divided by all patients with an outcome. The problem is that there were plenty of mildly ill patients well on the way to recovery—and some public health officials made this point, but the fear mongering continued.

Almost everything about Covid is a scam—masks, lockdowns, vaccines. People promoting Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin, or Vitamin D have been ignored at best. Meanwhile Fauci, CDC, WHO make up whatever crap they want with cover from the corrupt media.

I thought it comes through as a tax rebate in 2021 if you didn't collect it?

It was an advance of a 2021 tax credit, the first one anyway.

This donkey is for sure no fucking scientist. He got his MD 54 years ago and hasn't done any sort of clinical research in decades. Most MDs don't know squat about science (source: me, did a PhD in molecular genetics and then an MD).

Shit, when I was doing my research back in the day, I did PCR nearly every day for five years and I used about 27 cycles of PCR because anything beyond that fucked up the results. Now they're using 40 cycles to find this virus and these physicians think that's kosher? Eat a bag of dicks you fucks.

Sorry. This shit pisses me off.

Fauci is on tape saying anything over 34 (IIRC) is basically worthless.

But here we are/

CrimsonClown 7 points ago +7 / -0

Break it down for those of us who fell out of a stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down.

What is PCR and what is the significance of exceeding 27 cycles?

6
AnonymousFrog 6 points ago +6 / -0

You are replicating the RNA or DNA in the sample that matches your primer. So if you replicate it enough, you can have a positive test while the person only has a few broken strands of genetic material that may have been encountered and broken down a while ago. You essentially artificially increased the signal beyond just detecting a threat to detecting something that is just “dead nucleotides.” Had you used fewer cycles, you would only call people positive if they had a larger starting amount of DNA/RNA. Basically what Fauci said. It’s funny how tells the truth at one time or in one venue, then lies in another.

Makes me think about the paper this clown wrote about the Spanish flu and bacterial pneumonia being the primary cause of death. How did that research never get brought up by him?

2
CrimsonClown 2 points ago +2 / -0

Huh...

So, if I am understanding this correctly, they are over testing and that over testing has deteriorated the material that is being tested, which has caused the test results to be inaccurate. Is that roughly correct?

2
kutastha1 2 points ago +2 / -0

So PCR replicates DNA (in this case, it's RT-PCR or reverse transcriptase PCR since the COVID virus is RNA, but same principle). So, let's say there's one strand of the RNA in the sample. The process involves amplifying this one piece, so after one cycle, there are two, then after 2, there are four and so on. After 40 cycles, there can be a hell of a lot of pieces, making one look like a shit-ton.

Problem is, the enzyme used to amplify is not 100% correct, so errors can be made. So, after that many cycles, there could be a bunch of errors, mucking up the results.
