Did anyone learn about the Allegory of the Cave in school? Simulation theory sounds like the same idea coached in a different way.

So does real life when you’re tripping

I always thought it sounded like G-d with extra steps.

Allegory of the cave tried to make a point, about how you might have been wrong all your life, might learn new things, and will then feel a moral obligation to teach.

Simulation theory is IMO, science wanking.

If everything is a simulation, and it does not effect us in any way, and we can't effect it in any way, and we have no way of confirming.

It does not matter.
