Two things should happen. One, the pay check of Congress should be relative to the health of the economy, so if the economy sucks so too does their pay check. Two, if a member of Congress is negligent, criminal, or unconstitutional in their duties then they shouldn't be paid at all. Does this mean 99 percent of Congress will be shit out of luck? Yes, but fuck them, they deserve it.
