Really dumb move no matter how old the article, and technology obsolescence has nothing to do with its massive benefit. Maybe the CA idiots should ask FL how beneficial Amateur Radio repeaters are during hurricane season.

They have slowly been putting the screws to ham radio for years. In a truly FREE country.....the government would provide a ham radio to everyone. Get a cb, next best thing.

I purchased a Baofeng handheld. Also have a set of 2-way Motorolas, but no CB since the 80s, lol. May need to get one in my truck, with a 15ft whip antennae.
