Haram.

There is no doubt that what is mentioned of celebrations is haraam, because it is an imitation of the kuffaar. It is well known that the Muslims do not have any festival apart from Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, and the weekly “Eid” which is Friday (Yawm al-Jumu‘ah). Celebrating any other festival is not allowed and is either of two things: either it is an innovation (bid‘ah), if it is celebrated as a means of drawing close to Allah, such as celebrating the Prophet’s Birthday (Mawlid); or it is an imitation of the kuffaar, if it is celebrated as a tradition and not as an act of worship, because introducing innovated festivals is the action of the people of the Book who we are commanded to differ from.

Similarly it is forbidden for the Muslims to imitate the kuffaar by holding parties on these occasions, or exchanging gifts, or distributing sweets or other foods, or taking time off work and so on, because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said in his book Iqtida’ al-Siraat al-Mustaqeem Mukhaalifat Ashaab al-Jaheem: Imitating them on some of their festivals implies that one is happy with the falsehood they are following, and that could make them (the non-Muslims) take this opportunity to mislead those who are weak in faith.

I am a female Muslim, raised Christian, born in the United States. Our constitution protects freedom of religion, you obviously don't know anything about Islam or our country. Our original forefathers were influenced by the Quran. Thomas Jefferson owned a Quran. Google how the Quran shaped our founders. In 1783, George Washington stated that “The bosom of America is open to receive . . . the oppressed and the persecuted of all Nations and Religions; whom we shall welcome to a participation of all our rights and privileges… They may be Muslims, Jews, Christians of any sect, or they may be atheists” Muhammad was Honored By the U.S. Supreme Court As One Of The Greatest Lawgivers Of The World In 1935. There's a huge difference between true Islam and the distorted lies that's put into the media, and practiced by ignorant Muslims that have never read the Quran.

My family is Christian, too bad no one taught you how to be a good one. It's funny how when you were challenged with facts you continued with your ignorant beliefs instead of considering you might be wrong. I'd suggest you read the Quran and then the bible, and then tell me which one is more oppressive to women, I've read both books.

You’re welcome to do your thing & if you wanna MAGA, that’s enough for me, but you’re selling damaged goods. We learned everything we need to know on 9/11.

Such of a weird thought process you have. Are you not away of the statistics that 1 in every 3 women are sexually assaulted in this country. As a Muslim I've wore the hijab and not. Wearing the hijab I never had anything but respect from men, unlike when I went uncovered. The Quran is the most beautiful balanced book ever created because it is the word of God. You're free to believe whatever you want, but I'd suggest you hold back on talking about something you know nothing about, on the day of judgment God will ask you about this conversation.

You don't know your own book, Exodus 21:14 However, if someone deliberately kills another person, then the slayer must be dragged even from my altar and be put to death. What do you think an eye for an eye is talking about? They Quran just came back to reinforce the correct message that had been lost in previous the previous books. We believe in all of the same prophets, but unlike the Bible we don't believe the lies about our prophets. Example, Lot (peace and blessing be upon him) getting drunk and sleeping with his daughters. Or Noah (pbuh) getting drunk and Ham, our prophets are the best of creation, and are not guilty of major sins. And no the prophet Muhammad pbuh never slept with Aisha when she was a child. There are hadiths in Bukhari that said the prophet used to visit my parents home as a teenagers. Hadiths are not part of the Quran, they contradict themselves and even the Quran. Women can choose who they want or don't want to marry in Islam, children can't make that decision. There is a huge difference between Islam and culture. Are you aware the Donald Trump has hosted several Iftar dinners for Muslims? Do you even know why he named the Middle East peace treaty the Abraham Accords? You're coming from a place of no knowledge, but I wish you the best of luck, unlike you I wouldn't wish any harm to you or your family.

The bible tells women to cover their heads, you shouldn't look down on people for following the word of God. 1 Corinthians 11:6 For if a woman doesn't cover her head, she should have her hair cut off. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her head be covered.

You're free to believe whatever you want including lies. I'll leave this page that talks about rape and references several hadiths. Good luck to you https://www.call-to-monotheism.com/does_islam_permit_muslim_men_to_rape_their_slave_girls_

I think the muslim guy was just trying to say that he doesn't agree with the SJW bullshit and sees no problem with saying Merry Christmas even tho he might not celebrate it.

The pretext is that saying "Happy Holidays" is respectful to people who don't celebrate Christmas.

if he feels disrespected when someone says merry Christmas.

that's the whole point, he's saying he doesn't feel offended by Christmas.

and fuck yeah I love tacos and sushi. I also love apple pie and burgers.

You should get your priorities straight. If anyone hates commies more than us, it's muslims. We can sort out our differences with them later.

Dude if you still think Muslims did 9/11 I have some news for you. And trust me it wasn't muslims dancing.

There are so few liberty loving people that I take my chances with anyone of any race and creed.

Jesus is a role model for us all, even those who don't believe in his divinity. Celebrating his birthday shouldn't be controversial.

It's not that hard to not be offended by everything. Most people are trying to be decent people, everyone just gets so wound up by activists, the media, and the Internet. Maturity is at a low point. Glad you met someone who realized that.
