I don't think that's true. With a high enough IQ and the drive to make a difference, you know there's a very real possibility of changing the world for the better. Maybe there is a range above 100 where your statement is true, but I think once you exceed that range, a "realistic optimist" is more likely.
The higher your IQ, the more likely you are to be a pessimist which makes sense.
