It isn't that we struggle with normal conversation/customs... It's that we find them to be a very predictable, monotonous waste of time in most situations. Life is finite, and so for us to use our "gifts" as effectively as possible, we have to use time more wisely and minimize distractions. That's not to say that we don't enjoy others' company. There is definitely a time and place for talking and socializing, and some of the best knowledge and ideas come from it. We just tend to be more selective with the time, place, and people.

With that said, I'm definitely a bit of a hermit so you're right about that. I blame the wu flu and all this other bullshit going on though. I would be out and about socializing more if I could, but it would still be very selective, as mentioned above.
