Merry Christmas everyone! I am kind of lost on what to do regarding driving to D.C. I am hoping to arrive on the sixth from Illinois and leave the same day at night. What would be the best area to park or will it be a mess finding places to park? I would like to go with my friends and my dad, but he doesn't want to drive all the way there and possibly not be able to get to D.C. and just be in traffic. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

I'd park in Arlington near Rosslyn Metro station and take the subway in. (Just be careful wearing your gear on the subway)

The airport.... Park in the garage at DCA, and catch the train or Uber from the terminal. DCA garages are almost empty right now, due to the lack of business travel.

Or park at one of the off-airport lots, and ask them to drop you at the train.

I don’t have any specific advice, but if you haven’t already I would recommend joining the element page set up for people to organize in general and by state!
