When did the MAGA movement begin?

Most people would probably tell you June 16th, 2015, with the golden escalator ride.

Most people are wrong.

In reality, the MAGA movement, and the road to where we are today began on May 17th, 2012, with the launch of the kickstarter that destroyed video games and began the culture war as we know it. At the time, it seemed like a blip, but when one woman demanded that every babe in gaming be censored because seeing hot chicks made men sexist, then called everyone who disagreed with her a misogynist harasser, and the press...first the niche press of the gaming world, but then the mainstream press, fell into lockstep behind her, throwing their own audience under the bus and helping push her demands on every major company, the world changed, and a sleeping giant woke.

Gamers did not cave to this emotional blackmail, and the fire spread first through geek culture, then through normie culture. Vast swathes of people who had once thought of themselves as liberal by default, who just wanted to be left alone and saw right-wing moral panic merchants of ages past like Jack Thompson and Patricia Pulling, who had tried to push censorship on them in the name of religion or conservative values, as their enemies, began to question the left for the first time in their lives. And from their ranks rose a wave of young, trendy conservative voices, the likes of Milo Yiannopoulos and Lauren Southern and so many more.

Concepts like "SJW" and "cultural Marxism" made their way into everyday public discourse, and people began to reconsider their impression of conservatism as only a movement of stodgy, fun-hating old bible thumpers.

The movement was there, it just needed a leader, a person to give a single, charismatic, relatable voice to millions who were saying "enough is enough, this is insane!"

And as we all know, that leader came along.

From Anita Sarkeesian burning down an entire media industry, the road to GamerGate, and from GamerGate to Trump, was inevitable.

In her moral panic and her need to force her will and her values on people who just wanted to enjoy themselves in peace, she lit the match that, if we have anything to say about it, will burn the institutional left to ashes. The MAGA army exists as a direct consequence of her actions.

Why?

BECAUSE SHE WAS OFFENDED BY HOT BABES IN BIKINIS AND WANTED TO CENSOR THEM!

And now, I see that happening here, and I cannot stand silent, because I will not see us suffer the same fate through the same censorship purity spiral. It always begins with demanding just one form of speech be given up. It never ends there.

So if you don't like hotties for Trump....

I don't give a fuck if you think porn is objectifying women, destroying western families, or making Jesus cry. SCROLL THE FUCK PAST!!

I like being surrounded by beauty. I like being reminded what I'm fighting for. I like being politically incorrect. I like triggering liberal shills who hate these things. And if you don't, you can scroll past.

This isn't the religious right of the old days. We don't hate fun and we don't sit around shaking our fists at Harry Potter books or Dungeons and Dragons. We learned the lessons of our history that we cannot live in a bubble, separate from culture and everyday reality, on some high horse thumping our chests about our family values until all our leaders get forced to resign in disgrace because they fell short for a moment of impossibly high standards, while Democrats utterly ignore all decency and face no consequences. This is our guy. He married this babe, and he raised this one. The aesthetic of "Donald Trump, billionaire playboy" is in this movement's very DNA, and it has served us WELL. Unlike Republicans of ages past, sex scandals, real or invented, just bounce off GEOTUS. Voters just go oh, some other model or pornstar is saying he fucked her? Wow, what a Chad. There's no hypocrisy to this man, he lives honestly, and he does and says openly what, let's face it, most of us guys would do if we suddenly had billions of dollars.

Christians, and Christian values will always have an honored place here, and I admire the fuck out of those who can actually live their lives by Christ's rules with such strength and conviction...but their rights still end where other people's rights begin, and I won't give up my free speech for anyone. When they post about religious stuff that I, as a Jewish pede, don't agree with, I either offer solidarity, or if I don't like it, I SCROLL PAST.

I suggest they do the same thing when they see some blonde in a MAGA hat and flag bikini posing with a gun. Some of us like that. You don't have to. I'm not asking for your updoots. But If you want to take away my freedom, I say the same to you I would to anyone. Trump 2020, fuck your feelings.
