In fact people say they divided America but the truth is they divided WHITE America! That is what was needed for them to succeed! .... They first destroyed the black community JUST as they finally were overcoming their hardships WITH family! They had a tighter family unit than the white families in the 50s before they started welfare! They took out the need for the father.... The white families had the jobs and careers that the blacks had not reached yet so we were able to not get addicted to the government right away! ... But they were finally successful in getting just enough white people on it to make them start siding with the blacks and boom.. you have a divided America!!.... JFK once said a government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take everything you have away
