To believe that Patrick Byrne is lying would also imply that Michael Flynn, who has been working closely with Byrne and Sidney and staying at Trump hotel with each other, is allowing him to just go out there and lie about the President and what he said in that meeting, which is highly unlikely and we would have to believe that Flynn isn’t a good guy, which I don’t believe to be the case. Trump would’ve come out and said something addressing one of these matters.
But Byrne also has repeatedly said that all three of them had to use essentially “Jedi mind tricks”, or a little finesse, to get the meeting (which also was reportedly 4.5 hours long and implies it wasn’t just some random “out of the blue” meeting).

Yet Bryne has not recanted and recounts the same story. Trump could have ended all that either in public view or private view.
Which leads me to believe there's some other play going on that we're unaware, but we won't know until 1/6. Either there is something or there wasn't, no point guessing more than that.

Now the question that sits with me is WHY did Obama/Comey reach out to Byrne to do the Hillary bribe. Sure he's rich, but so are others. My guess is they knew he had a little document sitting in the DOJ that would protect him without any need to expose themselves. Byrne could just say "I was investigating Hillary for corruption" and a look into the DOJ safe he'd be allowed to go on his way.
