The Supreme Court on Wednesday appeared to shun President Trump's Pennsylvania election challenge by setting the date for the state's response to Jan. 22 — two days after President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration.
Trump, who filed the suit on Monday, requested that the court expedite the case'ca s proceedings and require Pennsylvania to respond by today. In a petition filed to the court, Trump's lawyers wrote that speeding up the timeline is essential "because once candidates have taken office, it will be impossible to repair election results tainted by illegally and belatedly cast or absentee and mail ballots."

No. The Supreme Court needs to weigh in on the Constitutional violations raised in the Texas versus Pennsylvania, GA, MI, WI case. The Court punted and said Texas had no standing.But Trump was welcome to file as plaintiff instead of Texas. Now the Court has punted again.
Only the Supreme Court can decide these issues raised in Texas cases -- officials bypassing State Legislatures and creating their own Election laws, not allowing observers to watch the count -- There are no political avenues open for that.
But the Supreme Court wants run out the clock instead of stepping up and making a big ruling.

As such, in deciding cases courts have a duty to explain their decisions so the rest of us may know if they constitute arbitrary exercises of political power, or reasoned decisions of judicial power which the People can trust. In Texas v. Pennsylvania, all that the justices felt obligated to do was to state its — “lack of standing” — supported by a one sentence justification: “Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its election.”
Resolving a case of this magnitude with one conclusory sentence is completely unacceptable.
