If so: Jupiter has 79 moons, that could be three of the largest in a diagonal line. (Sometimes they look like a "lens flare," with 3-4 of the large ones in a row.)
In my experience with a telephoto lens/DSLR camera, I see Jupiter with the eye/viewfinder but often don't see those moons until the picture snaps (presumably due to the long exposure time bringing them out.)
