What's sick is that the three branches of government are supposedly co-equal, right? So if Trump is supposedly some insane Hitler Madman, there's still TWO thirds of the government to cancel him out, and then everyone will see and be like "Wow, what an insane Hitler Madman. We'll not vote for him again." Because people instinctively don't want to be led by people they perceive as bad.
The only situation where I could think where these politicians would fight tooth and nail to keep one of those 3 from being temporarily occupied by someone is if they're afraid of that person making them all look so, so much worse than everyone thinks.
