Yesterday, I was at a Home Depot in Southwest New Hampshire. I was browsing through some of the new LED-style lighting solutions available when I overheard a conversation in the neighboring department. It was three employees talking openly and plainly about election fraud. They were all white by appearance, There was a guy who I would put in his mid-to-late fifties, a woman in her late thirties to early forties and a much younger woman... perhaps twenty-five or so. The last one, given the recent profile of younger white females (in-general) piqued my interest in the conversation.
I browsed the lights and listened. None had the type of depth or breadth of knowledge regarding the issue as compared to most anyone who reads the posts in the TDW forum/website. So, there conversation was very much a “surface” discussion, no real depth, but a clear understanding that the election was clearly stolen and the Biden-Harris ticket had no business assuming roles in 2021 Whitehouse.
I was sorely tempted to interject some facts into the conversation, but suppressed my desire so that I could observe this organic conversation between citizens... normies who were revealing frustration at the current state of things. Curiously, not once did I hear them speak the name of GEOTUS. They talked about Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Some of their facts a bit sketchy when talking about the Dominion Voting Machines and percentage turnout levels in Michigan, otherwise, they had the gist of the complaints.
After a listening for ten minutes or so, I spoke up, agrreeing with their conclusions, and hopefully bolstering some of their future arguments with additional information. I was amaxed that none of them really garnered info from the Internet, relying on the MSM primarily. In each case, it was friends and family that red-pilled them. The older gentleman had recently wandered onto Breitbart.
Before I left wishing them a Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah I presented a brief soliloquy on the Hunter Biden laptop. They were floored. The younger woman had trouble believing me. It goes to show you that even citizens who recognize that the MSM obfuscates and lies, are still manifestly uninformed regardless of the plethora of alternate souces extant.
All of that said, it warmed my heart that employees were openly discussing the state of The State in such a public forum (shoppers wandering through at a constant clip) without hesitation.
BTW, that Patriot computer reparman who turned over Hunter Biden’s laptop to Rudy’s attorney (the FBI too, to no avail), John Paul Mac Isaac had to close his shop, and he is in-the-wind these days. A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to this axe-throwing, based PATRIOT.
I can vouch for Home Depot. I haven't met an employee that wasn't based.
I don't like big box stores but the '90s eliminated most of the small tool and materials companies around here. Getting a 4x12 of drywall same day, only option is Home or Lowe's. Customers can't wait for 3 day shipping for a toilet flange...
Founder is based too btw.
I tend to agree. Many of (especially the senior) employees have been there and done that. Meaning worked a lot, lived a bit and paid taxes the whole way through.
I make an effort to support my local small vendors when possible. I'm willing to pay the premium. In this case, I was close by and had a year-old Home Depot gift card getting stale in-my-wallet. I looked at lighting as mentiioned, then spent a few "gift" bucks on a burnsomatic extension line for my MAP/Propane handheld torches. I have some copper pipe water line soldering to do and it's a tight space in some areas in the basement where the lines run along the foundation. the hose lead offers much easier access.
I run into the same problem here. Local hardware stores are gone, but when you are continually upping your game for the SHTF moment, you almost have to use big box stores. I feel guilty on some level, like I'm feeding the beast but also fighting it at the same time.
