An LEO reported this as a suspicious vehicle and had the bomb squad in route, prior to the explosion. It happened on 2nd Avenue. I’m sure the street name was just a coincidence. God bless this LEO

I have to admit I haven't been happy with some of our boys and girls in blue lately. But these are the situations where people see how badly they are needed. God Bless that cop and his instincts.

Mayor just said it was "an intentional act."

Mods sticky this. The local media is saying "intentional" after initial reports were accidental.

I love how people though a propane tank in an RV caused this....no one dared think why an RV would be parked in a downtown street on Xmas morning

How TF is a car randomly exploding in a major city on Christmas “not suspicious” all of a sudden?

Wow. Just wow.

Even less suspicious that an RV would be parked on the side of the road in downtown Nashville.

The station quoted officials as saying the explosion did not seem suspicious.
