The area this is located was mainly some restaurants (Melting Pot, Spaghetti Factory) and bars. Granted, 2nd Ave is the most popular street downtown except for Broadway so possibly symbolic?

But either way, 6:30am on Christmas wouldn’t have anybody in those so not sure the purpose, if intentional.
