I wouldn't really say that game is based. It's a dystopian corporate nightmare. It's annoying how much sex sex sex there is in the game. Everything sucks. So the only thing there is to do is drugs and sex. Everyone is poor but everyone can afford to put expensive electronics in their body.
The idea of morality is completely lacking in the game. It's not based, it's the future of our world if our aristocracy keeps selling everything out to enrich themselves. It's not a very realistic idea of what the future will be.
I've got 20 hours into the game. The story is not particularly interesting.
I think the game is pretty based and actually serves as a dystopian warning of a possible future if we head down our current techno-degenerate culture.
I mean, the corps in the game may as well be calles Google, Facebook, and Apple.
Morality is what you make it your character is giving choices to be made being based has nothing to do with the world around you but the choices you make in that world. Just like in today’s world I wouldn’t say that the United States is very base but I’d say a good 70% of the people that frequent as website are.
Yea, the game sets up a world where extreme violence is going to happen in 90% of all human interactions. The morality is window dressing. It's a shooter that's lacking that stuff.

Broken ass game. FO76 released better than this crap.
I keep reading this game is buggy and broke but my experience in an Xbox One X has been perfect. No glitches or bugs really to speak of.
Running 60 fps or better so far, no way it’s as bad as FO76. Don’t play this on og ps4 or xbox1 I’m sure. But a good pc or new gen consoles I’m sure not many issues. I did see that pc users have a really nasty save bug.
It seems like this game is getting a free pass because of the company. If this was another game it would be getting destroyed, more than it is. Game was released broke as shit, on a solid pc as well.
I think that’s just the way of the industry these days, it’s like the old saying ask for forgiveness instead of permission and then they just patch it again and again to fix it. As a consumer the only thing that we can do to fix that is to stop buying their product but I like cyber punk the table top game so I was excited to try it in this medium.
It's core game is good but still a hot mess. Hype was not delivered.

Seems like there are more sex stores in the game than anything else. To be fair, I haven't played the game, just basing it off reviews. But there definitely seems to be a strong "communist theme" from the game that reddit finds "based."
I haven’t really noticed much in the ways of socialism or communism they pretty much just seems like it’s a dog eat dog world where everybody’s for them self and it’s all about the individualism. There’s no overly scripted storylines that I’ve played so far in the game where there’s social justice overtones. I think it’s just review bullshit do you know how humans will look into everything in a biased lens just to find issue with something they disagree with.
You're right about reviews and political bias. But I saw a specific thread on some anti capitalism sub reddit about the game being "based" because of some communist idea. Maybe it's some specific faction in the game the thread was referencing.
