UPDATE 1 AT&T HOME INTERNET IS OUT. Appears related. Didn't go out until several hours later and is still out. Based on the evidence so far this appears to have been a very targeted attack on infrastructure and not people. Very odd still leaves actual motive in question. Vunity which is a business ISP is apparently in that building as well. Some are stating they have something to do with COVID tech.

Please look at my new post here and help research

Update 2: Very good ariel footage from local news channel and witness who lives across the street sounds believable from her account The building that appears to be the target is supposedly an ATT data center. No markings on the building and I've never know that to be the case so can't confirm. Hopefully another TN pede can confirm.

Update 3: new video showing a different angle cannot confirm authenticity, but expert analysis by combat veterans (not me) says its a rocket plum.

OP: Being familiar with the area i can assure you that if someone was going to bomb DT nashville they picked the stupidest area possible. Just blocks over were all the areas packed with bars, capital buildings, residential areas, etc... where that bomb went off was a shitty area of DT begging to be revived. The area hit is typically busy in tourist seasons but was dead last night and is a shit hole compared to the rest of DT.

What's oddly suspect is that the Mayor (cuck dem) and a developer recently (last week) came to agreement to revitalize that adjacent area (river front) of DT with multi million dollar funding. Definitely pulling on conspiracy theory strings here but its very odd....that was basically the last area of town that hadn't gotten a face lift and was likely being held by the owners who i bet are far more likely to let it go now that its all fucked up and may even be able to cash out on insurance. We should dig...

EDIT: Comments for the shill fucks below who keep trying to paint the picture that 2nd Ave is Time square NYC level of busy. The area this bomb went off in is lively in tourists season but in the off season and as of LAST NIGHT WHEN I WAS FUCKING THERE IN PERSON it was a ghost town due to it being off season, 27 degrees, and snowing. So everyone trying to make it seem like this was time Square has no idea what the fuck they are talking about.

Also the development from the article below while focused on an area across the river and further north is part of a larger effort to revitalize the river front as a whole. There is a fucking four seasons being built just down the road and that area where it went off is all older buildings with prime realestate that is water front but all the building backs face the water so any realestate developer who has a brain is staring at those buildings and seeing dollar signs for their water front view potential.

Your "on the ground" assessment matches my own analysis of the situation.

Now Washington D.C. can block all RV's from entering Washington, because they have "a credible threat".

Definitely a deep state OP.

A bombing that does no significant damage and achieves nothing obvious does raise a lot of suspicions.

ISTApackagingguy 55 points ago +67 / -12

Yes, according to the newspaper nobody was killed. Could this have been a rolling meth lab? In middle Tennessee there have been several such labs that have exploded along the highways. Or it could have been an intentional explosion. But it had little effect either way.

157
FuckuSpez 157 points ago +157 / -0

Rolling meth labs don’t give “I’m about to explode” countdown warnings

59
FuckChinaRaw 59 points ago +60 / -1

This is the most curious part.

They say it was announcing that it would explode within 15 minutes... Why the warning?

Seems as though this was designed to destroy property and explicitly tried and succeeded at reducing death.

In another post earlier today said that the bomb squad had been notified of a suspicious vehicle.

They were on the scene before it detonated, so most likely LEOs were warning civioians to leave the area.

18
FireannDireach 18 points ago +19 / -1

The official story (take that as you will) is the cops were there for a shots fired call, and noticed the RV, and it broadcasting the bomb warning, they called the bomb squad, countdown started and it went off before the bomb squad got there. They were evacuating buildings right before it went off.

This sounds to me like they got caught at a temporary spot, the RV was intended for elsewhere, but they suicided instead.

But we'll never really know. Not for years and years. They didn't rush to blame US, which says all you need to know.

I_Love_45-70_Gov 5 points ago +5 / -0

Cool. So the early reports were wrong. Thanks, Pede.

9
FuckChinaRaw 9 points ago +10 / -1

No, Breitbart says it came from the RV itself. Unless they have incorrect reporting. Haven't had the time to look super deep into it.

Before they admitted foul play a lot of people were thinking meth lab, but the amount of damage and range of the explosion is too high for that. This had to have been an incendiary device that blew up in the street and maybe never made it to it's target.

27
Jkend0740 27 points ago +28 / -1

Police were already on scene investigating a shots fired call. Sounds like a BLM or Antifa attack on police officers

7
thisisatestof2 7 points ago +8 / -1

Then why did they play a message to evacuate. The bomb squad would be very cautious in that situation and likely wouldn’t approach.

4
Jkend0740 4 points ago +5 / -1

Police hadn’t released that info yet when I made the comment. No idea what the motive could be now. It doesn’t make any sense at this point. Maybe I’m overthinking it and it’s something simple like insurance fraud

10
looncraz 10 points ago +11 / -1

I was thinking of Breaking Bad with the whole RV thing as well... meth labs blow up all the time... I don't know if they can be this explosive, though... and there were apparently reports of gunfire which had the cops arrive on the scene prior to the explosion, per Fox News.

Very well could have been a meth lab. As stated above its suspect AF that this was supposedly intentional, none of the narratives are lining up, and nothing significant came from it. You have to ask...then why? What was the purpose? How will this tragedy be used?

19
Destineed369 19 points ago +20 / -1

No self respecting paranoid meth cook would park their RV in a spot like that imo.

5

9
Panzershrekt 9 points ago +10 / -1

I've got no phone service, living 2 1/2 hours from Nashville. So communication could have been a target. Or a 5g nut.

3
rma92 3 points ago +4 / -1

That got me thinking - FirstNET is a priority first responder cellular network run by AT&T on their network (gives first responders comm priority during emergencies).

I wonder if this could have had something to do with it, since it seems to have disturbed AT&T's services (I also heard a report of AT&T wireline internet being disturbed)

1
TheGunFairy 1 point ago +2 / -1

the power is out on the block. That red building nearby but not directly by the blast was the Fiber Hub for AT&T. Power is out so all the fibers that went to that hub are down right now.

2
MudDog 2 points ago +2 / -0

shouldn't be out, ATT should definitely have emergency generators

1
TheGunFairy 1 point ago +1 / -0

they only have gas for so long 2 of five were down fiberoptics use repeaters and big cabinets to power them they are not always in the building most nearby ones are fed off the local power grid so the building could still be running but the lines could be down a block away inside a manhole or a cabinet that has lost power

1
MudDog 1 point ago +1 / -0

They should also have contracts for the fuel supply in place including guaranteed fuel during emergencies and they should have redundant uplinks on different sides of the building. A company like ATT DOES have these safeguards in place.

5
Proud_American 5 points ago +7 / -2

Parked in front of the court house. Makes more sense as a target, IMO.

5
FireannDireach 5 points ago +6 / -1

It wasn't even close to the court house. Go look on Google maps - the court is several blocks north.

1
Proud_American 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, I looked and noticed it’s at the 600 block. Maybe the RV was parked there for a while.

1
catbertz 1 point ago +2 / -1

It seems like his point was that the rv was parked in a useless place, as apposed to somewhere more high profile, like the court house.

This does smell like a false flag, meant to prevent casualties, but provide news coverage.

4
mbarnar 4 points ago +13 / -9

His on the ground assessment isn't accurate at all.

That's 2nd avenue and commerce. The entire second ave from broadway to church is bars, restaurants and nightlife. It can be a very crowded area I've frequented it on many occasions. (Idk about COVIDs impact tho).

Idk about the rest of his story but it was most certainly not a vacant area... It's probably the 2nd biggest bar strip in town behind broadway

24
Azrael1776 [S] 24 points ago +27 / -3

Idk when the last time you were there was, but as of last night it was dead... yes it can get dense during peace tourist season but in off season its mainly dead and was a ghost town last night especially with the snow and 27 degree weather.

5
simonverde1 5 points ago +5 / -0

I'm with you on this... nothing but liquor stores, bars, a tattoo shop, and a Hooters on that block. White Horse and Spaghetti Factory further down. Did the detonation burn the whole block or just the immediate space around the RV?

3
Tcrlaf1 3 points ago +5 / -2

Yeah.... The idea was to KILL COPS..... Gunshot call was to draw lots of cops in to an already “sensitive” area, then blow then up. I am betting LP tanks, and a cell phone, This is a classic IRA-style attack.

3
BidenMumbling 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nah man. The whole thing how the RV was set to warn people to get away doesn't jive with an intent to kill.

This was either a) A bored psycho or b) A group / individual that has other plans that we'll see unfold in the future, assuming he/she doesn't get caught.

2
dumdumexpress 2 points ago +2 / -0

It really is, the warning...

-15
mbarnar -15 points ago +5 / -20

Well I would imagine with COVID restrictions it's not as happening as normal but to suggest that 2nd street is basically vacant is objectively false.

Just because one night during COVID lockdowns it's not crowded doesn't mean the entire area is vacant lol.

It's extremely misleading for people that don't know downtown Nashville. 2nd street is a very popular place

17
Azrael1776 [S] 17 points ago +22 / -5

Do you fucking live in Nashville? Your imagination is not my eye witness. Cuck.

-13
mbarnar -13 points ago +5 / -18

Don't live there currently but I have in the past and visit frequently. Enough to know you're way off.

Dude come on...for starters you're objectively wrong about that area being involved in the river project.. the EAST bank river project is the industrial area on the opposite side of the river from the explosion (downtown is on the west side of the cumberland).

If you can't get that simplistic and obvious detail right why should I believe 2nd street is now vacant?

You can do a quick Google maps check to see 20+ bars and restaurants are still open and operating on 2nd street between broadway and church (include super famous ones like coyote ugly)... That is not a vacant place.

I'm sure it was vacant at 630 am on Christmas. But to paint a narrative that it's an abandoned area getting ready to be demolished is objectively false.

18
Azrael1776 [S] 18 points ago +20 / -2

The backside of those buildings is dead they have no windows or storefront yet occupy very prime realeastate. Also it is frequently dead in that area and you are not taking into account COVID. So you are making an assessment of a situation from your account years ago and disputing my live account while trying to discredit me as a whole. I very obviously stated in my initial post the dots weren't connect and this was pulling at strings. You are basically CNN right now.

mrh218 6 points ago +10 / -4

Came here to say this. The area OP is talking about and in the article is NOT where the explosion took place. That area is more industrial.

The affected area is a very will known part of Nashville and commonly visited by tourists and locals (unlike the Broadway area that is likely the best known for tourism).

2
jd9260 2 points ago +2 / -0

I was in DT Nashville in September and even with the mayor getting caught in a COViD lie and imposing outdoor mask mandates (which was ignored by many), it was busy as hell. If COVID has severely limited crowds, it would be hard to imagine how more crowded it could get during normal times.

GTFO. The area with the development is across the river but all part of the river front. Their intent is to revitalize all of that area. Where it happened is run down as fuck. Everyone here keeps saying its busy but as someone who was literally there last night I can tell you it was a fucking ghost town. So I'm not taking down shit and quit commenting on my post trying to discredit my suspicions.

Depor this fucking shill.

1
mrh218 1 point ago +1 / -0

Where in that area did you go last night or were you just passing through?

I ask because the bomb was donated next to restaurants that cost about $50 per person. Parking can be $20 unless validated. There are panhandlers every 20 feet (come on Nashville) because there's normally people walking around with money.

Obviously an unusually cold Christmas Eve is an exception, but those blocks of 2nd avenue are not what you make it out to be. It's clear their plot either failed or the target was to damage a very specific piece server or piece of communication equipment. Very strange.

2
Azrael1776 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I drove down the exact street. I'm telling you... it was dead. Ever since the lock downs that street hasn't been particularly busy and with it snowing people weren't out.

-5
mbarnar -5 points ago +7 / -12

Of course it's a ghost town on Christmas fucking Eve in a year where the loser mayor is locking things down. Lol.

The idea that 2nd street is a ghost town is a complete fabrication. Some of the town's oldest and most popular bars are right there.

-8

It's completely off.

The development project he is talking about is happening on the opposite side of the river.

The area of the explosion isn't vacant, it's a massive spot for locals nightlife.

Idk where this guy is getting his information but he's completely off.

I'm not saying I know anything in regards of motives, but this dude's post is dangerously misleading. I'd almost call it fake news

3
Lovepede 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's not right at the tourist hotspots. I'd compare this to 42nd street in New York, ie its right around the corner from times square, but not the main attraction. The main drag of the bars is a block away.

-1
mbarnar -1 points ago +2 / -3

It's arguably the second busiest strip in Nashville behind Broadway.

Of course broadway is the big cheese, but I can't think of any other spot in downtown besides Broadway that gets the night life like 2nd Street.

What's oddly suspect is that the Mayor (cuck dem) and a developer recently (last week) came to agreement to revitalize that area of DT with multi million dollar funding.

Ugh. This is a serious issue in my state. Transplant real estate agents, wholesalers, and developers get into local government offices and start heavily pushing forward new "development" and "revitalization."

Locals suddenly have their rent increased hundreds of dollars because some transplant appraisers say a piece of shirt apartment should go for 3000 a month.

This is part of the reason Californians are hated in my state, and everyone hates the real estate/housing industry because we feel it's ran by a bunch of out-of-state crooks.

I've personally told people that Trump is the only person that in that industry I'll ever knowingly vote for again.

It's a good a theory as any.

9
AppalachianTactical 9 points ago +10 / -1

There are definitely people living there since witnesses across the street said it blew their windows in and it destroyed three cars. Video from an apt building a few hundred yards away said it shook his entire building.

I read that it was part of the old city tourist area. Is that not so?

21
Azrael1776 [S] 21 points ago +22 / -1

There is very few residents in that area. Its an older tourist area. Again, begging for a face lift to match the rest of new DT construction. Definitely fishy af.

Sounds like fraud attempt and a distraction more than a terrorists attack.

Then again democrats and goat fuckers have a room temperature IQ so I wouldn't rule anything out.

black diagonal blast marks on red building do not look like "slow" moving fertilizer explosion. Some kind of higher speed explosive used to penetrate the AT&T data center.

Across the street is just incidental 1800's architecture.

many of the buildings on that block are historic

Devalue to purchase and then revalue, a classic scam.

if it's not the deep state, it's real estate developers.

swamp creatures either way, deserving of the same fate.

The AT&T Building seems to have been the Target

Azrael1776 [S] 7 points ago +9 / -2

Wrong block....you can't miss the ATT building so no way someone who targeted it missed it by an entire street.

Batman building is offices. Red brick with no windows and excessive cooling and generators on the roof - Data center.

2
redhawk 2 points ago +2 / -0

They have an intercontinental homeland security internet line going into the building

OpenStreetMaps.org indicate that it's an AT&T building, Bellsouth is the building next door to the north. The address is 185 2nd Ave N, Nashville, TN 37201 - and all searches show AT&T and small retail. Very good probability it's a data center. The side of the building where the blast was, is boarded up retail space. Bomb wasn't big enough to penetrate and collapse the building, like Oklahoma.

There's a good chance this has nothing to do with AT&T, but I wouldn't take it off the table.

Hmmm, insurance fraud by owner of closest building.

This scenario makes the most sense.

Fellow TN pede here thanks for the insight. I will be in Nashville tomorrow for the stop the steal rally. Will you be there too?

Could it be it wasn't a terrorist attack at all. Could it be someone was trying to expose a hidden secret and purposely warned people to get out so no one would be hurt. In major cities around the U.S. there are windowless buildings where people have more questions than answers. Could it be possible someone was trying blow the side off of that building to expose what really goes on in these buildings. Just my thought.

You're right about a large building with no windows that few know anything about. Speculation, but could be on to something.

Voiceofreason72 3 points ago +4 / -1

Sounds like you're on to something pede. Makes sense.

Dude. It’s 2nd Avenue. It is a historic area and a huge party scene at night.

Azrael1776 [S] 3 points ago +4 / -1

Was a ghost town last night.

Also a TN pede near Nashville. Everything this pede says is true. Lots of fishiness here.

zwiebelsaft 3 points ago +3 / -0

So what you’re saying is that the bombing caused millions of dollars in improvements?

1
Azrael1776 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, I'm pulling at strings to see if there is any connection.

i just stopped by tdw and found out about the explosion. thanks for your input. i didn’t realize the area was noy heavily populated or that there are plans to develop the area. those two facts combined make the explosion suspicious. i haven’t read that there were casualties, so i am going to keep my tin foil hat on for now and be suspicious.

Same type of thing here in Minneapolis where the George Floyd protests happened. Old, run down shops in an area with high crime. Developers slathering to rebuild the area and make it prime real estate. The whole area still sits burned out and decrepit, just waiting to be gobbled up and made into rich, ballot harvesting Somali residential units.

Thank you pede for the local information.

Maybe they're practicing.

Tophat9000 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yea it's just strange place and time...could it be this was not the extended time or target..but got caught early?

What I have not heard is what tip the cops off?

1
Azrael1776 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Exactly. A news report said the cops were tipped off of a suspicious RV and had a bomb squad in route. That story makes no sense when compared with the others from other MSM outlets.
