"BGE said construction work was underway on the building’s air handling and boiler system and that likely caused the incident. The company added it does not believe the explosion was gas-related."

Love that we are staying on top of this, but let's not CNN it up over here.

Boilers are in the basement. Gas lines as well.

The explosion was on the 16th floor. I call bullshit on their explanation. Reminds me of Notre Dame. Workers, blah, blah, blah.

Lots of buildings are too tall to have all the mechanical equipment in the basement. Usually taller buildings will put some of it on dedicated floors with "unlucky" numbers like the 13th floor.

Not typically with combustion equipment.

Boilers or steam generators in basement piped to hvac equipment within building.

Gennies typically at grade or on roof.

I’ve done a lot of buildings, never put gas fired anything in the middle of a building

I definitely am not sure of what happened here. The original thing i was responding to was edited. OP labeled the headline "not natural gas" or something of the like. I wasn't trying to say don't question things, I was just fighting clickbait.

I think Joe let on more than he was supposed to when he said he "learned about roaches". What did he learn? Who in our government, besides Kamala, is a roach? Has Joe already been replaced by a roach?
