Did you listen to the call? The lady said the recordings timing was off. They evac’d when it said 8 minutes. Bomb didn’t go off until 20 minutes after the 8 minute warning.
Yeah, I just assumed (based on past experience with fire drills, etc.) that it would take the average person between 10 and 30 minutes to realize what's going on (it was 5am after all), make the decision and evacuate, which would place them right at the time of explosion.
Kind of fucked up to tell people to "evacuate" right before the explosion.
Seems like they wanted many deaths, since people would be evacuating onto the street first, where the largest impact of the explosion hit.
