The bombing location is just a few blocks away from the TN State Capitol building. It's closed today, but perhaps that is the real target. The bomb could be an excuse to cut off communication and power lines to it for maintenance and safety measures. If security is not on site at the capitol building (due to federal holiday), the wrong people could sneak into the building without being seen or recorded to install something there. The bombing site is a distraction to draw eyes away.

Just my speculation.

I'm wondering what kind of data is stored there or what relevance it makes. The TN Driver Services building is also close by.

Data worthy of being stored at an off-site data warehouse is almost always backed-up at another physical location.

Already a felony to protest on state property. Gov Lee put that in place during Floyd protests to stop/prevent it. It worked.

It's illegal to protest peacefully? Hmm there must be other ways of expressing oneself

3
CannonballJunior 3 points ago +3 / -0

Now that a bomb went off near the capital, I would imagine that people will be less inclined to protest outside the building in the upcoming days. Not sure if it was a motive here, but it's a probable result nonetheless.

Were people planning to protest at the Tennessee state capitol in the next few days? If so, what about?

bratt 7 points ago +7 / -0

Stop the Steal has been protesting at all state capitols at noon Saturdays since the election.

IMHO the target was the ATT building to try to damage communications in the area. Why I have no idea, but it could have been a 2 part plan.

HungNavySeal300Kills 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well next time they should try a nuclear device, probably won't work considering that building is bomb proof, but who knows.

I found some oddities whilst browsing the interwebs today. This obviously wasn’t meant to kill anyone because it had been reported a warning played from the RV telling people how long they had to get out. Second, based on the location, it seemed to me this may be pinned on a white supremacist (c’mon, you know this is ultimately going to be called a white supremacist attack) restaurant owner that was losing their business to COVID restrictions and decided to blow up their building and others. Just my two cents.

thisisatestof2 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've read NYC has seen an increase in commercial fires. If deBlasio is destroying you business, arson seems to be a popular solution now. Why the need to take out the block?

None of this adds up.

I still don't have internet and no idea when it will be back up. Nashville pede here with ATT fiber.

12
the_neon_cowboy 12 points ago +12 / -0

The only thing right there was a at&t building an important infrastructural tech hub full of tech / servers / cloud etc.. The rest of the area was street level restaurants with apartments on top.

Sting 8 points ago +12 / -4

If the building is already without security for the day because of the federal holiday, a bomb down the street isn’t going to really help draw attention away from the building that has no security. Further, they have backup generators to all of the relevant security systems and subsystems, using a bomb (eye roll) to cut power lines and communications accomplishes nothing.

Any bomb in the vicinity of any federal building is going to cause more scrutiny, not less. Do you think these people don’t think of protecting themselves first?

If we insist on this being some sort of “deepstate op” it is much more likely to be either a warning or test run for Jan 6th. Although, never before in history has the deep state practiced/demonstrated a murder technique and then used it less than two weeks later. That would be too fucking obvious. I know we all think these people are “stupid” even though they’ve clearly taken over the world, (talk about a contradiction) but that’s never happened before.

Just as predictable as the media immediately assuming it’s right wing terror, it’s just as predictable that the increasingly paranoid right believes immediately and with absolutely no investigation that this is part of some broader conspiracy. It’s amazing to me. It’s depressing and amazing.

At least go investigate BEFORE we decide.

Sounds just like a test run...hits home here in Kentucky, remember governor's race? We ALL believe it was a practice run for 2020

My money is on Deep State trying to cover up by destroying the servers in the ATT building. Those servers may hold clue to the election interference. .

18
Sting 18 points ago +25 / -7

I’m shocked at how nonsensical we’ve become.

How does that bomb accomplish this? Why do you think, why in the fucking world would you think, that one more precinct with more evidence of election interference matters one whit to these people?

We already have data and evidence from thousands of precincts across the country, but this one in particular they’re going to use an RV bomb to, I don’t know, perhaps magically erase the evidence in the boom of the explosion?

They don’t need a cover story to send in agents to that area. They’ve been sending agents all over the country, to precincts in every corner of our nation, without permission or reason. Why, all of a sudden, do they need a bomb that will draw national attention?

That’s the opposite of cover.

The reckless, ignorant, nonsensical, infantile speculation that has been going on, on this very forum, it’s so fucking stupid that it gives me a migraine.

brokenbooby 6 points ago +8 / -2

WELL what the hell do you think is going then...well, well...? Us stupid asses are curious.

There’s a shit ton of other reasons someone would bomb and knock down communications infrastructure other than deleting voter fraud, which clearly means fuck all nothing to the powers that be. 911 lines went down. Cell service went down. Internet went down. Who knows what other systems impacted and went down.

1
trump1 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's not necessary merely one more precinct, but possibly a server or servers that can provide investigators more clues to how votes were manipulated by other countries remotely. For example, if investigators can match up the logs of connections (timestamps, packet sizes, etc.) coming through from other countries with the vote change patterns in the precincts, then it would establish strong evidence of foreign interference and open up the path for enforcement of Sept 2018 EO. Also, in the courts, one has to provide a chain of compelling evidence. We know that fraud happened through statistics, but we haven't provided a clear evidence of how it was done nationwide.
