The large building, circled in red, to the south, 333 Commerce, is the "Batman" building, the AT&T Building. I do not think that was the target of the bomb.
The building just a block to the north, on 2nd Avenue, has always belonged to AT&T, and I believe has always housed INFRASTRUCTURE of some kind. It has never been open to the public to my knowledge.
Also, it's now coming out that human remains have been found near the scene of the explosion. I think the fact that they were only able to find them 10-12 hours after the blast is testimony to the destructive power of the bomb.
Every once in a while, there are archeological digs under 2nd or the buildings on 2nd.
The street is ancient, one of the first laid out in a city founded about 1780. The current standing buildings along that part of 2nd I would say range from 100-150 years old.
As far as I ever knew, it was mostly cobblestones and the remains of old cellars from commercial buildings, some of which are older than the current buildings.
It's entirely possible, though, that AT&T building immediately onsite could have infrastructure placed below street level. I don't know for sure.
So chick on Twitter posted that her dad contacted the FBI bc he has a boutique hotel with footage of the entire blast area and that the RV was there at least 1 1/2 days. I mean, really? If true, everyone in that neighborhood would’ve seen it and probably complained don’t you think?
If it was the big drab one with few to no windows, it has something to do with the NSA. No joke. It's some kind of data collection center They did a documentary about it a while back. Those are in a lot of major cities, most notably NYC. On a side note, the other ATT building in Nashville looks an awful lot like an owl, does it not? What ancient owl spirit could that be based on?
I heard there were lots of phone outages for ATT phone and even cable customers after the blast. If connected to the explosion, what was that building being used for?

Thank you!
What is the bottom line? What are you suggesting?
Have not been following this story.
That the bombing was an attack on communications infrastructure. Exactly what for, I don’t have a guess.
Also, it's now coming out that human remains have been found near the scene of the explosion. I think the fact that they were only able to find them 10-12 hours after the blast is testimony to the destructive power of the bomb.
Human remains found near explosion site.
Also, reports are coming in that this thing broke windows *5 miles * away.
Yeah, huge outages are occurring
What’s under the asphalt there?

Eyewitness who lives in the apartment building directly across the street said there were several gunshots before the warning on the RV started playing this morning.
Very interesting interview! Thanks!

Drab, almost windowless, 1960s utilitarian architecture describes that building well. This was the bomb’s target I think.
The bigger, modern AT&T building, what locals call the “Batman Building” does indeed look like an owl.
So working theory trying to knock out infrastructure or servers that have done or contained baddy shit?
Working theory.
Or possibly just to knock them out to hamper comms generally or for specific people.
It's not the first.
I’m thinking I’m going to terminate my ATT contract. 🤔
A chance to clean out docs in the building.
