I will tell you what I always tell others: I trust NO politician. Ever. because as a breed they are not like normal people. They have no actual friends. Their fellow politicians are often expedient allies/political bedfellows of course. But they always act in their own best interest.
I say that after watching them closely for decades. And right now Pence has the least reason to fuck Trump over of everyone. For the moment.
As to Lin Wood, I have never really trusted him, because he has always seemed more smoke than substance. He strikes me as an ambulance chaser. And when you actually dig into his law career it isn't stellar. Mostly defamation work, and he doesn't "win" cases on merits, he "wins" cases as he did with Covington kids--by creating enough smoke that people settle out of court like the media did. In fact most of his high profile defamation suits were settled, which big people often do just to avoid court bullshit and discovery--not because they are guilty, but because it is expensive and not a good look PR wise either way.
Before he went into defamation, he did medical malpractice BTW, so the high dollar type of ambulance chaser.
