Majority of Republicans in office are trying their hardest not to believe this is the case, but it is. Sucks for them, but oh well.

POPULISM WILL RISE. ON BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT AND THERES NOTHING THE ESTABLISHMENT CAN DO ABOUT IT.

Agree. No idea why populism is so unpopular to the average joe

It really isnt unpopular. It's jus two fractured groups, the populist left is socialist and the populist right is more civic nationalists.

Well the populist left is also phony. If their shitty candidate had won the election fair and square, many of us here would be furious anyway despite our hatred of their politics. We would be incensed and angry as hell that our republic would elect a faggot asshole like Bernie Sanders, but we would still believe in the enforcement of the constitution and will be ready to march with those lefties. A temporary truce, but we cannot allow the republic to be subverted by the fucking elitists. There would be irony in the fact that Bernie is himself an elitist, but if that were truly the will of the people, to elect that piece of shit, then that’s the will of the people. If these leftists believed at all in even half of what they say they believe, they would be prepared to side with us.

If the left were populist in any way, shape or form they wouldn't be cheering everything the world throws at us or our president

People cling to the paradigm they know. Not for nothing did the animals in George Orwell's story say, "But if Farmer Jones is not here to feed us, we shall starve!"

If that happens I could even see an unstable alliance between the right and the leftards to overthrow the gov and having even more battles.
