I played pick up sticks with my 6 year old niece today. She gathered up a lot of sticks and won the game early. I told her, now you have to give all of us an equal number of sticks so it will be fair and I already have one so i win. She started crying. I told her, I was making a point and not to ever forget that life isn't fair and no one is going to make things equal like i just tried to do. It's win or lose. Her mother wasn't happy.

Every parent does this. This is how we play the game.
