Jesus said no one is good except for the Father. Even Jesus didn't go as far as to call himself a good person. Humans are good if we allow God to dwell within us. Not because we were made in God's image. Not that I'm debating but Jesus didn't call himself good, so I sure as hell ain't.
However we have all inherited the sin nature of Adam, and therefore we all are evil from birth. This is the reason Jesus (God) became a man, so that he could pay the penalty for our sin on the cross. By His sacrifice He offers eternal life to those who will accept His free offer.

The founding fathers understood this and purposely organized divided government so that no one had all the power.
Nope.
Being made in His image means we are redeemable and that no human is without value. But we are NOT inherently good, quite the opposite in fact. Because we are fallen we need a savior to save us from our sins.

This naive belief is a projection of ones own nature onto others. This belief is what makes people reject all notion of conspiracy truths and the existence of systematic fake news. It is THE BLINDFOLD.
Yes, we are made from love and to love, hate is learned. Truth will prevail over evil. We are on the right side to dredge through this darkness and come out better on the other side. The world cannot continue on this path. Hate, division, chaos is not our nature and we must rid our world of it. The Great Awakening.

They started tracking the criminal element in society during the Middle Ages. It was determined that 4% of the population had criminal intent and that 96% were law abiding. Today it’s still at 4%. It’s just that there’s a lot more people now and 24 hour media makes it appear that the criminal element is much higher.
Man, to of course include men and women, has the breath of God within Him. He is capable of relating to God and stands in God's sight and in a special way directed towards God. The basis of human rights comes from this uniqueness and value of man, as created by God.
At the same time, his pride led to the desire to have for himself the key to all knowledge, to be able to do without God, to have the key to.life itself and eventually to hide from God.
God initiates then a contrary movement by giving Christ down into the poverty of human existence. Christ had no need to tell us we are 'good as His purpose was more profound. He sought to draw us again into the relationship with God. This nearness to God brings the greatest joy and is the essential part of a human, without this direction toward the good he suffers tremendously.
Freedom belongs to the basic structure of creation, so each of us can shape his own life and follow the path corresponding to his essential being.
