EOD pede here, and there’s lots of speculation going around. So let’s dispel and/or aid in understanding of the explosion. First, without being physically there to conduct post blast analysis and using only cctv footage...we are stabbing in the dark on the explosion itself. Let’s not get worked up here by guessing on everything. I offer my professional opinion based on the little information we have.

The presence of such a large fireball tells me there was an accelerant there, quite possibly from the fuel tank on the RV it’s self. Though it does seem the fireball reaches fairly high. The explosion was small (it left no crater and seems enhanced by the accelerant) so VBIED would be ruled out, a vehicle that large would pack in 100s to 1000s of lbs of NEW (Net Explosive Weight). The detonation would be larger and would have cratered the blast site. There’s a lot of thermal damage with soot and little ash telling me it was small in comparison with the potential of the vehicle. At most I would guess without being on site at most 50 to 30 lbs NEW. The type of explosive is up for debate. AN based? Maybe. With no cloud cover and a quick crack, TNT or a commercial dynamite/slurry base may be possible (EGDN/NG)...but again without being able to be at the blast seat to do post blast analysis, we are guessing big time. It may very well be even synthesized. I don’t think it was an RDX base like C4/COMPB or the like, even less so a PETN base. I base this off the sound, as it sounded lower brisance than military explosives like RDX or PETN. Again, using second hand videos and looking at not being there it’s still just educated guesses.

I could be completely wrong on much of this.

Bro it could just be propane tanks stuffed inside and chain reaction...

People said the horn went off before it blew up, I still say my hunch is this was a lone wolf who committed suicide and didn't want to live in this world anymore the way it was going...

Christmas is a sad time for people especially if they are alone.....

That's my guess is a disgruntled guy with some fertilizer or propane tanks in back hooked up to a pipe bomb to the horn circuit in the car as the ignition.

It may very well be propane at that. It would certainly had to have been more then one tank or a large one.

You could get several hundred pound tanks in there pretty easily...

And they are everywhere readily available..
