I would imagine that Pence understands that his political career is over if he doesn't refuse to certify the electors with all the evidence (despite the horrific injustice of judges refusing to adjudicate any of it), refusal to cooperate with investigations, and unconstitutional changes to election laws. Pence will forever be seen as a traitor if he certifies an obvious CCP puppet installation.
It’s not about optics. Never has been. It’s about letting the Democrats hang themselves with a long rope. Long enough to make it effective. We must exhaust the legal approach before the revolutionary approach. I don’t disagree with the sentiment you all have, but look at who and what’s been exposed as recent as all things in the past 2 months, but also since Trump became president.
If he certifies the CCP candidate, none of that matters. The country becomes a puppet state of the CCP and our politicians are selected not elected. He can't torpedo his career when we no longer have fair elections. Maybe the CCP has a reward waiting for him, or has threatened him. Doesn't matter which. Never discount the probability of Republicans betraying us.
