Donald is already 45. Do you remain 45 or 46th president in a 2nd term?

He'd remain the 45th president for a second term. It goes to 46 when it's a new president, whether that's in '21 or '25

Simply multiplying 45 by 4 and subtracting that (180) from 2020 would have given you your answer. This level of brain activity is why we have problems.

45x4=180 AND 2020-180=840. I don't get your point.

2020-180=1840, but USA has had presidents since 1789, therefore some of those 45 presidents must have been in office for more than just 4 years.
