The holocaust puts a damper on anything else Hitler may have done.

We have a similar blind spot with the question as to whether or not states can secede. Because the last time they did that, it was to continue practicing slavery, and that casts a heavy shadow over the other arguments.

Look, it's an interesting question. I'm Jewish. I'll always be opposed to Hitler and his rise. But the questions of what bought down the Weimar is fair enough. My understanding was economic collapse. And also, if it was sexual depravity, the SA were not strangers to that regard as well. (Erich Fromm was the leader of the SA and a pretty depraved homosexual in his own right, as were many of the grunts.). So when I think of Nazis, I don't exactly imagine a bunch of sexually virtuous conservatives. Far from it. I think more of the depraved, anti-religious creeps of Antifa who go crazy if you don't use the right pro nouns. Though I'm sure the Nazis had better uniforms.

Well, I put "conservative" in quotes because the notion Hitler was right wing is just left wing propaganda.

It is patently false to classify Hitler on the “right” side of the political spectrum, a tactic the Left adopted long ago in an attempt to demonize conservatives. In fact, as demonstrated below using Hitler’s own words, Hitler loathed capitalism, detested individualism, and despised democracy. Although Hitler was not in full agreement with all of Marx’s ideology (like many other socialists), he certainly held many Marxist views, and he did so openly.

Yeah, my understanding is Hitler was a Socialist, but rather than the international socialist brotherhood, he had a vision of Socialism just in Germany. (Hence, National socialism). though there was an impetus to expand....

.... the moral issues though -- if we're in an ethical crash of values with stuff like child brothels and the like (As someone else mentioned) Hitler was not exactly a puritanical type to say "turn away from that."
