Indeed. I'm all for mutually beneficial trade relationships where all parties benefit, but the last few decades have been ridiculous.

This is exactly what I explain to people that are mad about the trade war. Its not a war it was us finally ending a surrender agreement.

No one, not even the most incompetent government workers, accidently run a 900 Billion trade dollar deficit with one country for multiple years.....no one

Not to mention that we simply let China steal massive amounts of intellectually property without any repercussions. I've been trying to point this out to people for 20 years, but, until just the past two years or so, it has just fallen on deaf ears.
