Predicted in what way? Many of us knew they would pull out all stops to prevent Trump to win after 2016. 2018 was the dry run for 2020. I didn't think they were going to let it happen in 2016, but they didn't think Trump would have the votes he had, so they didn't pull out the full-press cheat scheme. The problem is they got sloppy in 2020 because he got even more votes than predicted.
