White hats would be patriots in the military intelligence and special ops now directly hinder Sec of Def. If China, Iran, Russia or NK is imvolved, then military has authority to be actively involved. US citizens involved are subject to treason charges and prosecution via military tribunals in our current state of emergency.

It's a movie trope from old westerns, you could generally tell who the good guys and bad guys were by the color of their cowboy hats. Westworld is a more recent show that used this trope.

White hat people destroyed stuff to prevent election interference? No. What about all the fake ballots? That's what set em over the edge with the steal against trump. There a paper trail with mail-in, and no matter how fraudulent the ballots are at least the crooks can say "see? It's right here! What do u mean there aren't any actual ballots? " The mail-ins are somewhat auditable or harder to audit. However you wanna look at it.
Just inflating numbers without paper backups is easier to catch. If the bad guys say "warnock won 5,000,000 to 4,000,000" and it's pure digital hackery, that discrepancy is easy to catch in an audit. This is why the dominion machines are only good to inflate numbers a few percent. Too much is easily discovered in an audit. The paper ballots though, as we've seen with the steal run on trump, are hard copies that can be counted. Then the crooks have their crook buddies in the media say, "see? We recounted and the numbers were almost the same." We know they just counted fake mail-ins, but the average idiot doesn't.
