i’m honestly ok bringing in legitimate refugees in any number as long as two conditions are met.

we eliminate all election/voter fraud vulnerabilities and compromises, including autist-friendly livestreams of the chain of custody and counting.

we only accept freedom loving refugees from communist/socialist shitholes, or christian refugees from basically any country they’re persecuted in.
it’d be a real shame if this resulted in the unintended consequence of making it very hard for america–hating democrats to ever win any future elections, but that’s a price i’m willing to pay to help these refugees.
no religion is more persecuted than christians, and no population has been more tyrannized than those living under marxist regimes.
does that still seem like it’s not doing enough to help refugees? do the democrats assure us there are other persecuted people that need to come and that racism is the real problem?
well, i heard rumors that some farmers are being murdered for their skin color in africa. maybe we could look into that too.

I'd argue that the only places the USA should have to take refugees from are Mexico and Canada. Asylum seekers/refugees are people fleeing persecution and violence. I think nations do have a moral obligation to help people in genuine need, as we would hope to be helped in turn... but it's about the nearest safe place. These people have been driven from their homes and when it's safe for them to do so, they should want and probably do want to return home - and that should always* be the end goal. Once you're safe you are no longer a refugee/asylum seeker - your journey stops and any travels you make beyond that is as an immigrant - for which such moral duties do not exist. This approach would encourage geopolitical regions to keep their neighbourhoods in order. Encourage co-existence and peace.
Canada takes so many "refugees" its a joke. All they have to do is claim they're Gay since homosexuality is illegal in most shitholes, they get a free ride in Canada.
