60-ish man, wife, daughter and grandson stopped by. They were from lockdown Olympia, WA. They had driven south to AZ to visit his 90yo parents who used to be my neighbors but moved to easier living 100 away. So when my neighbors moved last yr I lost a lot of winter visitors from next door. And we used to have neighborhood parties. No masks. No social distancing. Nobody got sick.

Anyway, when they arrived they all were wearing masks and wanted to meet outside on my back patio in the afternoon sun. That was ok. But they still kept their masks on. Outside. In the fresh air. With the breeze blowing. I mentioned that we were not sick, and about the sunshine, fresh air, and breeze. No, they wanted to keep their masks on. They were used to them.

The 90yo couple were originally from MInnesota and probably Farm Labor Dems. The wife was a retired teacher, probably public school. The man was probably a Dem bec he was former union occupation and retired early due to bad knee surgery. Didnt know the daughter or grandson. Olympia is getting ready to go into another lockdown.

But the brainwashing is so complete on the masks and the covid dangers that there is no going back for these people. Ever. This is what we are up against.

Getting rid of the mask mentality is going to be just like making life long Dems open their eyes and see the truth about politics. There will be no going back to normal until the media declares it for people like them. And that is going to depend upon a total housecleaning of the CDC and the FDA, in addition to DOJ, FBI, CIA, etc.

There is no hope unless Trump wins. His second term will be YUGE in terms of housecleaning!

I think the mask thing has a long term psychological goal. If you cant see someones face, it prevents you from forming a connection. Over time, we will start de-humanizing each other. It wont be as shocking or traumatic or upsetting when we hear about people dying, because we cant see their faces. Im not explaining this as best i can but im sure you can find videos on yt explaining this psychological effect

I understand totally what you are saying. I make stuff and sell it at art fairs. Part of the success is the eye contact and the smiles and this building a brief connection. The mask destroys/prevents all that. I refuse to take part in a selling venue that advocates masks and social distancing. Too much work for fewer sales. Easier just to stay home and sell on line. Less sales but also a lot travel expenses. New reality.

I think I've been in denial for months about just how bad the brainwashing is. Recently, realizing the full extent of it, it has been difficult to accept just how dark the situation is. I know mask wearers like those you describe, people who aren't even particularly political, people who I had previously thought of as somewhat rebellious, counter culture types, who are masked up, outside, in the fresh air and sun, as you describe. When I really think about what this means, it is almost too much to handle. But we must face this ugly reality. We MUST fight!

Had my SIL over for Xmas dinner. She was talking about being at a local waterfall looking at it w/friends wearing masks. I said "you really dont need a mask outside". She quickly replied, "yes you do" and the conversation moved on. Her only news source is CBS, so go figure!

There was always the Left-right political divide which you used to be able to be able to navigate, at least prior to Colon Asshole Fitzpatick.. Now there is a mask-no mask divide which I think is much harder to navigate. The no-mask people are “I leave you alone and you leave me alone, go ahead and smother yourself if you want”; the mask people are: “you have to wear a mask. No debate. End of subject”.

Most people wear masks because they do not want to appear socially ignorant and have to deal with the abuse from others..It is like MAGA hats, only worn with other people in MAGA hats. I don't like it either but it is a reality.

“Most people wear masks because they do not want to appear socially ignorant and have to deal with the abuse from others.” That is a concept so far out of my realm of thinking that I can’t even imagine thinking like this. “Socially ignorant” is picking your nose in public. I can understand wearing a mask on the job bec you will get fire otherwise. I understand wearing a mask to be allowed in to a store so you can shop for groceries. But wearing a mask just to go along and get along, fuck it. Those people are emotionally weak

That may be but we have to allow them to be who they are. I don't want to be like the opposition because that is what we are fighting against.

Watching old people breathe in CO2 is like watching someone put a pillow over their face. Sad to watch and you want to do something to point out the foolishness of it all. But of course I let them wear their masks. I just pointed out that we were not sick, and since we were outside in the fresh air there was really no reason to wear a mask. Do you disagree with that? Do you wear a mask outside in fresh air? Alone in the car?

I wear a mask when I visit a store. It gives me a headache and I am tired for the rest of the day. Our masks are in our pockets the rest of the time. I live in a MAGA area but people are still afraid, I have heard 20 different stories this year and so has everybody else. The Con job has been really good so be patient with people less brave than yourself.

Honest curiosity: when you wear the mask in the store, is that bec you have to in order to get through the door, or bec you are afraid of catching sick?

I wear gloves in the store, to pump gas, to prepare my food. So I dont object to certain PPE of my choice. But the mask is different. It hinders your ability to breathe which is why you get headaches etc. Your body is trying to tell you something. Gloves cause no harm.

I am not afraid of covid bec I have done my research and have meds on hand. I am 71 and hubby is 76 (on dialysis, diabetes, just had a minor stroke) so I have had to do all the shopping for months and think for two. Still dont wear a mask except to get through the door. I have my high Vit D level, my quercetin, my zinc, some 10yo zpak. All I need now is some dog dewormer for the ivermectin. I got my dosage formulas. I have read how India is treating their people (extremely poor and overcrowded but they gave everybody free HCQ back in April, protected the elderly, and let the healthy go about their business). This is all a big con to subvert the economy. The media is owned by China. The Dems and probably a lot of Republicans are owned by China. The big corps and big pharma are owned by China. Do you hear any of them talk about building up your Vit D levels? No. Instead they did the opposite and kept you locked up all summer. On purpose.

It isnt rocket science. You are being played.

I agree with everything you have said. I don't believe that masks work. I think the testing is a joke. But I prefer to pick my battles and this mask nonsense is small potatoes compared to the social engineering of society in a way that is turning us into slaves. The Election fraud is where we need to spend our energy.

I would have ripped their masks off their faces, stuffed them into their mouths then kicked them in the face off my patio. Fags.

I FREAKING ANNOUNCED THAT WE WERE NOT SICK as soon as they got here. You are making stuff up out of your own personal fear and experience in contrast to the facts that I posted.

I know whether I am sick or not. Doesn’t everyone?
