He believes he will win in the end, but is giving the republicans a chance to step up. If they do then we can re-elect them. Why re-elect them if they don't?
And I believe the "ugly chapter in our country's history" refers to this whole election process, as soon as they dumped the fraud ballots after election night.
If you think Trump has America's best interest at heart, you know he's starting his second term in January. The only way he doesn't is if he concedes and Trump doesn't concede to cheaters. He will either use the military or just stay in office. Either way can get messy but hopefully won't. The 6th isn't about a bunch of gun-toting cowboys storming the Capital (but do as you must), it's about showing he has the support to summon that many supporters to his side and he can use it to give a big middle finger to the IC and military and tell the military that f you don't help me stop this thievery, you're going to have a tienemen square times a million on your hands.
All we have to do is show up, even if we're blocked by police barricades, our numbers will give Trump the leverage he needs to use the military as necessary, even if it means a quick clean of who is in charge at different levels.
If Trump just steps down, then we have all failed. This isn't a little bit of fraud or suspicion of foreign interference, this is overwhelming and unprecedented and is a once in a lifetime justification for simply staying in office. There's a lot of references to Lincoln lately and for good reason (regardless of your historical opinion of Lincoln) we're playing for keeps and Trump knows this
Here's what I infer from this:
