The part about them making sure everyone involved kept incriminating evedince of everyone so that way everyone was just as dirty and therefore wouldnt decide to sell out the others is exactly how China works. Xi's anti corruption campaign is nothing more than a power grab, but he managed to easily dig up any dirt and take out a bunch of the previous presidents people because they all had to get their hands dirty to be appointed to the positions they got, and Xi in all likelihood is forcing anyone he places in high positions to commit crimes in order to ensure their loyalty. And anyone who isn't trusted gets removed or stuck in some do nothing role.

It creates the environment where the only way you can obtain a prominent position is if your willing to get dirty and let someone keep the evedince as a sign of loyalty. So anyone who wants power has to be corrupt.

Was hoping our government wasn't filled with this sort of corruption but its getting to be undeniable
