My favorite with a lot of these places is you stand in front of this plastic shield until it’s time to pay. Then you stand at the credit card machine and there’s no shield between you and the cashier. I’m like who thought this up?

Yup. It’s ritual humiliation and systematic depersonalization and dehumanization.

Straight-up dystopian future, today. With nary a peep from the sheep.

As somebody who has built medical grade factories, a lot of the wuflu safety measures i see implemented are absolutely retarded, and make me afraid for what would happen if we actually had a super bug come through.

You don't even need a superbug, to be fair. Ebola Zaïre would do the job nicely. Decomposing from the inside out? No thanks.

Remember when Philadelphia told all the Bodega to take down the bullet proof barriers around the register areas because it was "racist" not to let robbers shoot you? Well now they have to put it back up as coronavirus shielding
