Tell you one thing that does suck about the States, is that I wasn't able to legally immigrate despite loving your country more than the one I was born in. These millions in tax would have gone to your gov instead, but no... Meanwhile you have millions of people who don't speak your language flooding in taking small, manual labour away from hard working americans.
You probably wonder what happened. Reaso was not having a 4 year degree or equivalent. The UK gave me a chance to state (because of EU rules), and they got me and my tax instead. Ironically, i did live in the states for a short while (2 years) because my employer was desperate to get me there. We had to BS I was some kind of student. I'm told i was the highest paid J1 at the time in cali.
Long story short, that was 20 years ago and I even tried to join your military to get a visa, but no, no 4 years degree == no H1B visa.
