I came to that conclusion when my school was routinely lockdownd for hours due to gangbangers shooting themselves up in the middle of the day during the weekday. Even though we have strict gun laws and signs everywhere that comiting a crime in the area will give you extra charges. Taking guns from ordinary citizens helps nothing. Walking home from school walking by homeless camps, gang members harassing you gets on your nerves. Yet every election cycle they run as proud democrats and you should be proud of the job they done.
