Maybe I'm ancient (late 20s), but I remember when people would stay home if they were sick and cover mouth with their elbow when they sneeze or cough.
I imagine because they have much lower mortality rates, and since they had become a part of our life and there was nothing much we could do about it, we decided that in balance not wearing a mask for those illnesses seemed the right way of doing things in terms of lfie disruption.

So if that’s the case why haven’t we worn mask because of the flu or the common cold which is another version of covid?

Mortality rate for Covid is really low as well.
