Do they really think they won’t be primaried in their next elections?
Do they think the Tump base and it’s wildly successful coattails will propel the Republican Party anywhere if they continue to abandon their leader without at minimum fighting to ensure he gets a fair chance for his case to be heard?
Am I taking crazy pills? How unbelievably weak, short sighted, and tone deaf to what’s on the horizon if they continue down the path of inaction while stupidly hoping this all goes away if Trump leaves the White House next month.
All they want is whatever power and perks they can cling onto.
And the bubble they live in has them seeing an alternate reality.
They’re also seasoned liars that will hop on the next populist’s coat tails and pretend they never faltered in the first place. Many uneducated voters will take the bait too.
