A tower climber was telling me something similar. I had to install a few temporary radios and Manets for a research project on towers. I went as far as getting qualified and did two climbs before I told work it wasn't worth it for me to do it when they still need to hire someone more qualified to supervise. Basically they wanted me to break OSHA rules I guess or are retarded.
A quick internet search confirms this. Multiple services have chosen Nashville among others for 5g service within the last month or so. Some chose the city specifically.

Technically this caused alot of damage and took down a very large area , many many towers worth of square miles
Considering 5g radios are just exposed boxes on polls and towers, it seems dumb to attack a building instead of just shooting out a few boxes.
