Yes and they are so bad, their progressives are actually the ones with more character than the more "mainstream" left. Their progressives just have bad ideas but at least some sense of justice, the others are just all in with a corrupt government with no free elections or freedom of speech.

It's crazy how even though we disagree with progressives on a lot of issues, we can see that some of them actually care about the american people. Sure there's an argument to be made about pro-government stance on everything, but like you said compared to the "mainstream" left they have some sense of justice.

This is the thing. I despise their bullshit BUT, we are both united in hating the current system. If we could get past being played off against each other by the establishment, then we could actually form an uneasy alliance and topple the corrupt establishment.

Uneasy alliance would be the best case scenario. I had a coworker who was a Tulsi supporter, and while we talked politics, we could only agree on how messed up the establishment was. When the conversation eventually went beyond surface level issues, and she asked me why I supported Trump it became very clear that we were very far apart politically. The only reason we managed to talk shop for so long was because I still listen to some left wing political commentators, so I understood their arguments, but she couldn't see anything from the right wing perspective. As much as I want to bridge that divide I don't see it happening.
