The ones that should be afraid of violence are the ones that are trying to end this Republic.
Same here. Worried about leaving my family and not coming back but more worried about my family growing up in communism.
The people in government need to fear us. Not the other way around.
1). Go
2). Have a plan, have a plan B, and then a plan C. Study the area map where you will be at. Have a general idea of different retreat routes to your vehicle/hotel.
3). Be mentally prepare for ambush or having to fight off agitators. 90% of winning street fight is be mentally ready. Protect your head and face. Don't let them knock you out.
4). Record everything. A "Go Pro" or similar recording device would be great. The Police and MSM will 100% twist the narrative if you got in an altercation.
5). Lets keep our eyes open for anything that looks off, we all know what that means.

Stay in groups of 10 to 20. Know your whole group. Too large means no one is paying attention to each other.. too small and you'll get out flanked
Well, she is right to worry. There are risks, and we cannot blame those who love us for wanting us kept from harm. It would be a good idea to simply allow our loved ones this token of their affection and care. Doesn't mean you have to not go -- but it does mean we should brush aside those who wish us well and love us.
I worried the entire time my husband and then (worse) my children were deployed -- they still went and did their duty, but that didn't negate the hope that they would be ok, nor the fear that they would not.
Spend some time with your wife, and tell her that you will always love her, and that everything will be ok.
The risk is statistically extremely low. Antifa only attack in numbers. Though the Floyd protests in the beginning were large, the Antifa portion is tiny. The police will not shoot at groups of people - they will more than likely stand down but won't help people against Antifa either. Still, riskier than the previous rallies I'd wager. More at stake. We thought the legislators and courts would have our backs or that Kraken thing would happen. Nope.
