Or Christians that know their book 1 Corinthians 11:6 For if a woman doesn't cover her head, she should have her hair cut off. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her head be covered. 1 Corinthians 11:5 Verse Concepts But every woman who has her head uncovered while praying or prophesying disgraces her head, for she is one and the same as the woman whose head is shaved.

That is not a FACE covering, and it is only required while she is praying. The following verses also suggest that a woman having long hair is a natural head covering, thus men should not have long hair as it would conceal their Godly image.

Yet Samson had great strength from his long hair and Jesus is always depicted with long hair

Because name ONE Christian country that forces women to wear the equivalent of the Burka, in the name of religion, every time they are seen in public?

That's right, nobody cares about old verses that haven't been followed in ages.

When will Muslims get with the times a little like Christians have, instead of being stuck in the stone ages?

That's right, nobody cares about old verses that haven't been followed in ages.

This shows how ignorant you are to the Bible, yet you are so bothered by someone else's opinions to start debating what you are clearly unaware of

Corinthians were letters written by Paul, to a specific church, in a specific region, with a specific culture, and had specific concerns and questions. These books in the Bible are ultimately just Paul's interpretation of what it means to be a christian with all of this specific context. 1 Corinthians 11:6 is addressing a cultural norm and the social consequences of disobeying the norm. Paul isn't giving a commandment to the reader, he's just giving advice.

An equivalent example for today's time is going to a church where it is socially expected that women must wear dresses or skirts. If your wife shows up in pants, it would be expected that she would be shamed as well. Because the husband is supposed to be the leader of the household, that shame would also fall on his head.

Shaving one's head was not a prescribed punishment for breaking this specific social norm. Shaving head was a legitimate punishment for other things going on at the time and it was meant to humiliate the person for a long time as their hair grew back. Paul is bringing this up simply to describe how shameful it would be to go against the social norms for the specific context I've already mentioned.

That's right, nobody cares about old verses that haven't been followed in ages.

To address this specifically, even though your point is correct, you should clearly do research because the verse in question is not a rule or commandment, it is advice to address a specific situation. To say it's old imo implies you believe it's from the old testament yet it's written by Paul and clearly in the New Testament.

Christianity has been reformed and brought in-line with modern society. What that really means is that most Christians ignore parts of The Book. Modern Christianity is watered-down.
Much of modern Islam is still very fundamentalist. They have not watered-down their teachings. They resent Christians for being weak and conformist. BY THE BOOK, Christian women SHOULD cover their heads, at least in certain situations. There's also some pretty eyebrow raising stuff in there about the ins-and-outs of divorce. But it's all STUPID. Religion is STUPID around this whole great big ClownWorld.

Anyone who feels the book they should be following for guidance in life is outdated should get a new religion
